The Carb Kings of Hilton was founded in the late 1950's by local car enthusiasts. The original members formed a tight-knit group, working on their hot rods and cars together in a club shop in the village of Hilton off of East Ave. Carb Kings members could be seen in those days sporting their club jackets, similar to the one shown on the right.
Original members of the Carb Kings include: Bob Diedrick, Don Slater, Ron Gosnell, Steve Burritt, Harold Beardsley (an original founder), Allen Beardsley, Ray Hendershot, Fred McMann, Bob Miller, Jack Wood, Bruce Wood, Dick Allen, Dick Kluth, and Mike Adams and Ed Gable. If anyone was missed we apologize, the list is made from memory. Anyone with more information about any original members can contact us. and we will gladly add more information here.
After a few years the club disbanded, but not forever. In 2009 a group of local enthusiasts, cruise night regulars and friends decided to revive this club and bring back the Carb Kings of Hilton.
